  • Late Victorian House

The renovation of a Victorian house for a family, respecting the architecture and retaining period features.

We restored original moldings and interfered with the structure of the house minimally, only opening up the kitchen and dining room. We sourced an unusual antique grey marble for the ground floor and used it extensively throughout the house to give a strong identity. The floors upstairs were replaced with wide oak boards and rush matting. We designed beds, desks, tables, chairs and cupboards including the handsome twin glass-fronted display cabinets for displaying the owners' large china collection.
