To reflect Bamford’s roots in the English countryside we have used ash and oak extensively in the interior – even in the wood-grain concrete walls and basins.  This brings nature inside, softens the architecture and provides a warm, soothing atmosphere to rejuvenate the senses. The wood was all sourced locally, then carved and finished by local crafts people. The cedar trunk in the reception is particularly striking, and alludes to the rows of old wooden pylons on Brooklyn Pier.
